I am just appalled. NBC appealed to the Nevada State Supreme Court the day of the debate and the court reversed the lower court’s decision. Dennis was excluded.
I used to talk about corporate stiffling of free speech. Now I’ve seen it throttled for real.
So sad.
NBC appeals Kucinich Decision
Truthout.org
For many years, I’ve relied on Truthout.org to talk about the things that don’t get full air time or full explanation on the major networks and news sources.
Just a couple months ago, a couple of major internet service providers put the squeeze on them — they started labelling all Truthout messages (which Truthout only sends [...]
Welcome Back!
Welcome back!
Or perhaps, as I’m the one who has been absent, I should say: may I come in?
A years has passed since my last post. During that year, I’ve settled in to my new job at PATH, moved to the wilds of Shoreline, and made a transition from riding the bus to work to driving [...]
Bull!
The following appeared in the movie section of my local paper:
Parents should go see this delightfully cheeky animated tale of a farm full of good but misguided beasts under siege from wily coyotes and their own social disarray. Protected by wise, brave old bull, Ben, the carefree animals are egged on by Ben’s irresponsible party-bull [...]

This letter is to advise you we have reconsidered our decision to non-renew your policy, and an offer to renew your policy with Government Employees Insurance Company should arrive within the next [...]
Busy July
July was a busy month for Anne and I.
On July 1, my cousin Laura and her husband visited. We did touristy stuff. We rode a silly tour of the city called “Ride the Ducks.” It’s a tour in a modified WWII amphibious vehicle, that takes us through the city with a comedian-tourguide-driver and into Lake [...]
Working at PATH
The new job is going well. I never have a chance to be bored in my job. I work as support for the diagnostics team. Their funding has been taking off this past year, so there’s growth and lots of new grants being applied for. All of their projects involve creating some [...]
Dear GEICO
My wife and I have been Geico customers for six years now, and have found no reason to doubt the acumen and good faith of your company – until now.Recently, we received a phone call from one of your agents, who told us that, because of some speeding tickets that had just been discovered, Geico [...]
